About

You want to become part of the SCE start-up community? The Innovations-Café invites all interested start-ups, founders and curious people to open networking and exchange. Successful start-up founders and experts inspire and inform in talks, panel discussions and Q&A sessions on the topics of founding and entrepreneurship.

The Innovations-Café is also the ideal platform to present your start-up project in a 1-minute pitch. Who knows - maybe the right co-founder or pilot customer is sitting in the audience? You can make exciting new contacts at the networking event afterwards. SCE start-up advisors are also present at every Innovations-Café and will be happy to answer your questions about SCE offers and programs.

The Innovations-Café is typically held on the first Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m. in the Steelcase Creative Hall at SCE. We also allow online participation via Zoom.

We look forward to meeting new contacts who are eager to dive into the world of start-ups.

Free registration at www.sce.de/events.

Who do I contact for a start-up pitch slot?

At the beginning of the Innovations-Café there will be the opportunity to pitch your own start-up - 1 minute - and place a call or two (co-founder search, crowdfunding campaign, etc.). If you want to be part of it, write a short email to lars.schepp@sce.de.

Who is invited to the Innovations-Café?

Anyone and everyone. You don't need to bring any prior knowledge. Feel free to bring friends and we welcome you if you are interested in start-up topics and want to dive into the start-up world.

Where can I register for the Innovations-Café?

Free registration at www.sce.de/events.

When are the next Innovations-Cafés planned?

The Innovations-Café is typically held on the first Tuesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. in the Steelcase Creative Hall at SCE. We also allow online participation via Zoom.

What topics have we already had in the Innovations-Café?

The Innovations-Café focuses on topics related to innovation and entrepreneurship. In past editions, for example, on content marketing, pricing, diversity & inclusion, the Future of Foods, internationalization, and the do's and don'ts of starting a business. In April and October, we also hold our Night of the Start-up League, where teams from the current program present themselves. Every time a highlight that we and the start-ups are looking forward to!

Testimonials

What our participants say about the Innovations-Café

Carina Goldschmid, founder and CEO of StartupCommunication: "The Innovations-Café is a great opportunity to network with the start-up scene and learn everything about founding. I myself met my first client at networking back then. It's definitely an opportunity not to be missed!"
Gerd Birzele, founder of Vocalisto: "The Innovations-Café at SCE is absolutely recommendable as a platform for regular networking for founders and all interested parties and can even help with recruiting. After our start-up pitch, we actually found our current intern for software development.

My mission in life is to enable people to shape the future in a sustainable way.

After graduating in Business Administration (Marketing, Sales Management, Organizational Development) at FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg with co-creation brand project as a personal highlight, I spent more than 20 years building and developing FMCG brands internationally in an American corporation.

With the change from a large company to a company founder in the food sector in 2015, I have gone through and experienced all facets of founding, building and liquidating.

Until joining SCE in early December 2022, I was consulting various start ups/SMEs on strategy, business model, product development and co-developing a concept for a sustainable e-commerce platform. In parallel, I have been working on sustainable topics such as circular economy, transformation to sustainable business models and stewardship ownership.
