EU-XCEL is a new virtual accelerator which seeks out talented, young aspiring entrepreneurs in the field of information and communication technology (ICT) to participate in a unique international entrepreneurship experience focused on creating and supporting European start-up teams to become incubator-ready. The program specifically focuses on six major ICT trends:
Internet of Things;
Big Data ICT4Development;
Predictive Analytics; and
Successful applicants, will be grouped into start-up teams of three to five members and participate in an intensive, specially designed entrepreneurship acceleration program over five-months, which includes:
One week intensive training named ‘Start-up Scrum’ in one of the six institutions running the program (incl. FREE flights and accommodation!);
Access to a bespoke virtual accelerator of continuous supports to further develop a ICT start-up idea;
and The opportunity to pitch for investment and win a prize in the EU-XCEL Ultimate Challenge Final.
The Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship together with Munich University of Applied Sciences are the German partner of European Virtual Accelerator, EU-XCEL. The consortium network is formed together with other leading European institutions: University College Cork, Technical University of Denmark, Athens University of Economics and Business. Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena and Poznan Science & Technology Park.
