The Academic Program for Entrepreneurship (APE) is a certificate program of the University of Munich and the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship. It further educates students and professionals in entrepreneurship and innovation.
In times of increasing global competition, organizations are looking for employees and leaders who recognize challenges, take initiative, and develop solutions in teams in the workplace. APE promotes the development of these key competences through three different projects.
At the heart of APE education is a deep understanding of customers and their needs. Solutions that are developed must clearly address these needs. Customers are involved in the entire innovation process: through continuous questioning they contribute to the further development and improvement of products and services.
We offer you a fresh perspective on a chosen project theme. An interdisciplinary project team of up to six participants in the program works on your topic from March to July with each team member investing between six and eight hours a week. The team is supervised by experienced mentors from the university and industry. The results are available to you as an industrial partner. You will receive detailed project documentation as well as a transfer of knowledge in the form of individual presentations of the results with representatives of your organization.
We need an open-ended project topic from you which we can define together with several preliminary discussions. In addition, you and your company representatives should be available for defined dates during the project (kick-off, interim and final presentations). The team depends on a firm contact in the company for the project work.
The SCE is a non-profit organization (gGmbH). The aim is to promote entrepreneurial thinking and action, to further promote research in the field of entrepreneurship and to support young start-up entrepreneurs. The required project budget can be provided either in the form of a donation or sponsorship.
If an NDA is necessary, it will be signed by each student before the project starts. Confidential information will not be shared with third parties.
