About

Urinary tract infections caused by catheters are among the most common hospital-acquired infections, accounting for about 25% of all hospital-acquired infections. They sometimes lead to severe complications for patients and enormous additional costs for the healthcare system. UV radiation actively and continuously disinfects the Puray catheter during the treatment period. It effectively eliminates all known viruses and bacteria - including multi-resistant germs - while being harmless to patients and medical staff. In this way, catheter-associated urinary tract infections can be prevented proactively and without the use of antibiotics.
