Florian Huber

Florian is a Design Lead at the innovation and design studio IXDS. He is responsible for helping clients such as E.On, BMW, and Miele with identifying problems worth solving, framing opportunities, envisioning solutions, delivering results, as well as designing new business models.

As a freelance innovation consultant and co-founder of methodworks, he delivers customized workshops on design-driven innovation to different organizations and startup incubators such as Fraunhofer Venture and Media Lab Bayern.

Until 2016, he was the Head of the Academic Program for Entrepreneurship at the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship. During this time, he mentored early-stage startups and taught design thinking, lean startup methods, as well as experiential entrepreneurship to students and graduates.

Florian studied business management with a focus on service management, international business, and entrepreneurship and has received his Ph.D. for his research on multidisciplinary innovation teams. He holds part-time teaching positions for entrepreneurship and design thinking at the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship as well as for experience prototyping at the University of St. Gallen.

Florian is an optimist, who loves learning something new every day.
