Prof. Dr. Steven A. Gedeon

Prof. Dr. Steven A. Gedeon, BSc, MSc, MBA, PEng, PE, PhD (MIT) is Head of Entrepreneurship Education at the SCE and Associate Professor and Director of the Ryerson Entrepreneur Institute at Ryerson University’s Ted Rogers School of Management – the largest entrepreneurship program in Canada with over 40 unique entrepreneurship courses, 7 incubators and over 400 startups per year.

Steve has founded or led 15+ private, public, venture capital and non-profit organizations; published over 100 articles, reports and patents; and delivered over 100 public lectures and videos on personal leadership, success, motivation, financing, entrepreneurship and best practices in teaching.

Dr. Gedeon is a highly-regarded entrepreneurship educator and expert with over 20 awards including the President’s Award of Teaching Excellence, Experiential Teaching Award, and the USASBE National Award for Entrepreneurial Experiential Education Best Practices. His student teams have won over 35 regional and national entrepreneurship championships. He has broad experience in designing and delivering entrepreneurship curricula, courses, and workshops globally.

Dr. Gedeon is an AACSB and EQUIS accredited professor (AQ3). His research interests include best practices in entrepreneurship education, assessment of learning outcomes, design and assessment of entrepreneurship programs, values, personal motivation and trust.
