Science only happens in an ivory tower? The Munich University of Applied Sciences does not accept this! Because science can inspire, inspire and change. That's why HM has been organizing a science slam every semester since 2018. The so-called "Applied Science Slam" is hosted by Prof. Dr. Georg Eggers, known for his stage program "Physics of Failure", among other things.
What is a science slam? At science slams, scientists bring their research to the stage. Whatever is fun is allowed: presentations, props or live experiments. Each slammer has ten minutes. The audience's applause decides the winners at the end.
