ChargeX introduces JobWallbox and enables employees to charge their electric car at work

Many drivers of electric cars do not have the opportunity to recharge at home. This makes it all the more important to have a charging option at the workplace. The Munich-based e-mobility company and SCE Start-up League Alumni ChargeX presents the JobWallbox, an innovative financing concept to support the development of charging infrastructure at the workplace. With the JobWallbox, an employee can conveniently charge his electric car on the side during working hours. The charging point is provided to the employee by the employer, but the financing is provided by the employee himself. This simple measure makes employers more attractive and increases their employee loyalty.

The concept has already established itself in company bike leasing and is now being successfully transferred by ChargeX to the use of charging infrastructure. The JobWallbox is leased from ChargeX for 36 months and made available to the employee under a transfer agreement. The company can individually determine whether the charging infrastructure is provided to the employee free of charge or whether the employer contributes to the costs. The same choice is also available for the billing of the charging current: free of charge, for a monthly flat rate or with a kWh-based billing. Both the provision of a wallbox and the free supply of charging power at the workplace are tax-free and do not qualify as a non-cash benefit. The JobWallbox is simply connected to an existing ChargeX charging system Plug&Play.

With the JobWallbox, every company can offer a charging option for its employees without having to make high investments. - Tobias Wagner, Co-Founder & CEO of ChargeX
