Congratulations to our alumni startup, Puray! The medtech startup was selected by Falling Walls Venture as one of the “TOP 100 Science Startups to Watch 2026.” Out of a total of 370 applications, Puray impressed the jury and secured a spot on this year’s shortlist.

Our heartfelt congratulations go out to bup system on receiving the exist startup grant! The team of SCE alumnae has developed an idea that is as simple as it is ingenious for promoting circularity in the fashion industry: modular, durable fastening systems made from 100% recyclable aluminum.

We warmly congratulate our alumni startup Geniefy on receiving the exist startup grant!

Geniefy develops an AI operations layer for property management companies. The solution builds on existing management systems and automates communication via phone, WhatsApp, and, in the future, other channels. Geniefy supports complete workflows, from logging a request to coordinating with service providers to documenting the process in the system. This enables property management companies to grow faster, while all parties involved can continue to communicate through their usual channels. At the same time, the team is working on EU data residency requirements and conducting its own AI research to ensure that AI can be used safely and reliably in property management.

The Strascheg Ideas Award is back for another round! For our ideas competition, which offers a total prize pool of 30,000€, we are looking for innovative business ideas and promising startup projects. Students, professors, staff, and alumni of HM can submit their ideas online in various categories until September 13, 2026. The German Startup Monitor 2026 has launched: Founders across Germany are invited to participate in the country’s largest startup study through August 16. The Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE) supports the initiative of the Startup Association and calls on startups to share their experiences, challenges, and needs in order to highlight the interests of the startup ecosystem to policymakers, the business community, and the public.

Think entrepreneurially, try out new approaches and implement real innovation projects: The Academic Program for Entrepreneurship (APE) at the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE) is entering its next round. The two-semester certificate program (20 ECTS) is aimed at motivated students and young talents from all disciplines who want to develop entrepreneurial skills and take on responsibility. Stadtsparkasse München is now inviting entrepreneurs to apply for the 2026 Munich Founder Award. The application period runs until August 2, 2026. The bank is seeking companies that actively shape and sustainably enrich Munich’s economy. The award is open to both startups and established companies.

Great success for the Munich-based energy and SCE Alumni startup Pionierkraft, which was honored with the German Innovation Award 2026 in the "Energy Solutions" category. The award went to PIONIERKRAFTwerk 3.0, a solution for the intelligent distribution of locally generated solar energy in apartment buildings. The award, presented by the German Design Council, recognizes innovations that combine technological progress with social relevance and practical benefits. The award ceremony took place on May 12, 2026 in Berlin.
