Gender stereotypes still shape career choices. While girls are often seen in social or creative professions, women are still underrepresented in technical and scientific fields. At the same time, boys are less likely to choose social or educational professions. Girls' Day & Boys' Day at Munich University of Applied Sciences addresses precisely this issue and opens up new opportunities for young people to discover their interests and develop ideas for the future.
Developing ideas, solving problems, experiencing innovation
Girls'Day at the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship is all about creativity, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit. In the workshop, participants work together to develop initial ideas and learn how to turn them into concrete solutions. Exciting problems are analyzed in teams, creative approaches are developed and what really works is tested directly. This gives the students a practical insight into innovation methods and the world of start-ups.
The workshop will be accompanied by Dana Schultchen, Eva Feische and Nane Marie Schwenker, who will guide them through the individual phases of the innovation process and show them how viable concepts can emerge from initial ideas.
A special highlight is the visit by founder Saskia Teufel. She will provide personal insights into her start-up "Nobank" and give a first-hand account of what it's like to set up your own company - from the initial idea to its implementation.

Girls'Day & Boys'Day at Munich University of Applied Sciences
Girls'Day offers girls the opportunity to get to know STEM subjects and explore future-oriented careers. Boys'Day is aimed at boys who want to explore social and educational professions. Genderqueer children and young people are very welcome at both events.

The workshop at the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship is aimed at anyone who wants to bring their curiosity, discover new perspectives and try out how much potential there is in their own ideas.
