The HOCHSPRUNG Award is presented annually in order to make the start-up dynamics at Bavarian universities visible and to promote them further. The award was presented by Dr. Johannes Eberle from the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts. This year, the focus was particularly on start-up projects that deal with challenges in healthcare and prevention.
Six finalist teams presented their projects to a jury and an interested audience at the Zollhof Tech Incubator in Nuremberg. First prize was awarded to "Athegus" from the Deggendorf Institute of Technology. Second place went to "Endolease", a project from the University Hospital and Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg. Third prize and the audience award went to "Vasc-on-Demand", also from Würzburg University Hospital.
From the SCE's point of view, the high number of submissions from Munich University of Applied Sciences not only shows the commitment of individual teams, but also the effectiveness of the structural anchoring of entrepreneurship at HM. The award is both recognition and an incentive to continue on this path - with a special focus on interdisciplinary collaboration, impact-oriented business models and the promotion of student initiative. The SCE would like to congratulate Munich University of Applied Sciences and all award winners on their awards!
