What is the Munich Startup Award?
The Munich Startup Award is presented annually as part of the Munich Startup Festival. The five most promising startups compete against each other live on stage in the final and present their business model to a jury of experts and a large audience. At the end, one startup will be crowned "Munich Startup of the Year".

- 10,000 € prize money for the winning team
- Visibility on the festival main stage
- The title "Best Munich Startup 2025"
- Media & network effects through Munich Startup
Important dates:
- Application deadline: June 13, 2025
- Final: July 16, 2025 at the Munich Startup Festival
Conditions of participation:
- Official foundation must not have taken place more than 5 years ago on July 16, 2025
- Listing at www.munich-startup.de/startups required (register here: create startup profile)
- Innovation and scaling potential in the business model
- Prototype or demonstrable service available
