Regional and smart solutions - Ammersee Hackathon on May 9

Go back

On May 9, 2026 from 10:00 to 16:00, the Ammersee Denkerhaus together with the SCE invites you to the hackathon "Smart and regionally solved" in Dießen am Ammersee. Who can take part? Anyone interested - from individuals and start-ups to newly formed teams. What is it about? We are looking for innovative solutions to current challenges facing the regional economy, such as AI in local businesses, sustainable tourism, mobility, municipal sustainability or new training methods in industry. Why take part? After the hackathon, the best ideas will be further developed together with mentors from the regional economy and could ideally lead to the founding of a company. Registration is now open by email; if you don't have a team yet, you can network in advance at the Meet & Match.

Saturday, April 9 from 10:00-16:00 in Dießen (venue tbc)

Apply with your team or as an individual and find innovative solutions for a strong economy in our region. The best ideas will be further developed after the hackathon with supporters from the industry and, if things go well, can lead to a spin-off.

The topics

A. What opportunities does AI hold for local businesses in the Ammersee economic region?

B. What solutions are there for better mobility in the Ammersee region?

C. How can tourism on Lake Ammersee be better managed and be (financially) sustainable?

D. How can we use innovative training methods in industry?

E. How can municipalities make themselves fit for the future?

F. How can I make local businesses attractive and keep local life attractive?

G. How can private and communal vacancies be quickly and sustainably mediated?

H. How can an up-to-date local newspaper be run sustainably with the help of digital (incl. AI) tools, from editing to distribution?)

I. Placeholder for your own topic on regional economic development, which you should indicate in your application.

Who can participate?

Anyone who wants to contribute to finding smart and regional solutions as an individual or entrepreneur, including existing start-ups as well as individuals and newly formed teams that have come together at our Meet and Match (see Meet and Match further down in the text). You can apply for one or more of the topics listed or work on your own topic. We will send you a confirmation of participation immediately after registration so that you can use the time before the hackathon to prepare.

What is the procedure?

Of course, we won't leave you alone at the hackathon. Our hackathon will be accompanied by the experienced moderator and Dießen entrepreneur Brigitte Dyck and the Innovationsarchipel team from the first coffee to the after-work.

After we have explained the process once again at the beginning and answered your questions, you will get to work together in your team. Our team of mentors will go from room to room and will be happy to answer any questions that may arise during the day. You can of course use your PCs for teamwork. In contrast to a classic hackathon, however, the goal of the day is not a prototype or a functioning app that is presented at the end. You are free to choose how you present your results in the final round. Flipcharts, a projector and wall posters will be provided. Catering will also be provided on the day.

What is the goal?

After the hackathon, the best ideas can be further developed over a period of 3 months together with mentors from the regional economy, who will sit on the jury and in the audience. The Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship and the Ammersee Denkerhaus provide mediation and advice on financial funding opportunities.

Hackathons advance existing start-ups and often lay the foundations for new companies. Our hackathon also offers you valuable contacts to other tradespeople and representatives of regional economic development agencies.

How do I register?

You can register as a team or as an individual. Send us a short email with the names of your team members and tell us the topics you are passionate about (e.g. topic A and topic H). Your registration will be confirmed immediately.
