The Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE) would like to congratulate its alumni team HEBIO on winning the pitch competition at the VDI Congress AUTOMATION. The start-up impressed the judges with its innovative solution for automating truck unloading and warehouse logistics: an intelligent swarm of robots that can unload pallets directly from trucks and transport them to a storage location in a coordinated manner. Each robot unit remains flexible and space-saving, but is equipped with a load capacity of up to two tons. HEBIO's smart plug & play technology not only promises more efficient use of existing warehouse systems, but also addresses key challenges in the industry such as the shortage of skilled workers and demographic change.
The HEBIO team originally came together as part of a university project and the SCE supported it from the very beginning: From coaching, workshops and access to the start-up network to funding applications such as for KickStart@HM or FLÜGGE.
"The SCE supported us in many ways, be it through the application for FLÜGGE, the establishment of new contacts [...] or through workshops and regular exchanges with our coach," says Julian Ernst, CEO and co-founder of HEBIO.
