Innovative energy solution for apartment buildings
With the PIONIERKRAFTwerk 3.0, Pionierkraft is pursuing a new approach to the shared use of solar power within buildings. Surplus energy from photovoltaic systems can be distributed directly to individual residential units in line with demand - without a traditional tenant electricity model or complex grid-like infrastructure.
The solution addresses a key challenge of the energy transition: While solar power has long been established on single-family homes, shared use in apartment buildings often remains difficult from a technical and regulatory perspective. This is precisely where Pionierkraft's technology comes in.
Power and communication modules record generation and consumption in real time and automatically control the energy flows within the building. As a result, locally generated energy can be used efficiently without creating operator obligations for a distribution grid.
"The energy transition will only succeed if apartment buildings are also more closely integrated into the local energy supply," says Andreas Eberhardt, Managing Director and co-founder of Pionierkraft. "The award confirms that practicable and technically feasible solutions are needed for this."
From start-up to multi-award-winning energy solution
Pionierkraft was founded in Munich in 2019 by Andreas Eberhardt and Nicolas Schwaab. The PIONIERKRAFT system has been on the market since the end of 2022 and is now being used in hundreds of projects across Germany.
Co-founder Andreas Eberhardt was already included in the "Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe" list in 2021. With this latest award, the company has now received further recognition for its contribution to a decentralized and affordable energy supply.
We would like to congratulate our entire Pionierkraft alumni team on this special award and look forward to what the future holds.
