Start-up Relevo receives strategic investment

Go back

Munich-based sustainability startup and SCE alumni Relevo secures a strategic investment from Jokey Group, a manufacturer of sustainable reusable packaging. With this, they plan to expand their market position for sustainable reusable solutions in Germany and offer high-quality, durable reusable packaging to catering businesses.

Relevo offers a reusable tableware system where restaurateurs lend the tableware to customers, who can use it for free by scanning QR codes. After use, customers return the dishes to partner restaurants, where they are cleaned and re-distributed. This allows customers to enjoy food in eco-friendly dishes without using disposable packaging, and restaurateurs can get high-quality reusable dishes according to their needs.

Founded in 2020, now the start-up and it´s system are already present in over 800 German cities at more than 3500 partner locations.

Founder and CEO of Relevo, Gregor Kolb (in photo, left), explains:

"We are very pleased that we could win the Jokey Group as an investor for Relevo. The family-owned company Jokey is a well-known manufacturer of food and non-food packaging in Europe. We were convinced by Jokey's sustainable orientation and pioneering role in the circular economy of packaging. In addition, our partner gastronomies benefit from high-quality, sustainable and durable reusable packaging from the Jokey Group."
