What is SystemEU?
SystemEU is an EU-funded initiative that brings together stakeholders from five European regions, including Bavaria. The aim is to tackle common challenges in the areas of:
- sustainable energy
- intelligent mobility
- health solutions
through international cooperation.
Open Call: Funding opportunities for innovations
The Open Call is aimed at:
- Startups
- Companies (especially SMEs)
- Research institutions
- Public actors
Funding is available for interregional projects with:
- up to € 1.1 million (small projects)
- up to € 2.2 million (large projects)
- Funding rate: 70% (up to 100% for start-ups & non-profits)
Application deadline: October 1, 2026
Info Sessions: Getting started with the Open Call
To prepare for the Open Call, SystemEU offers a series of free online info sessions (approx. 60 minutes).
The sessions offer:
- Introduction to the Open Call and conditions of participation
- Support for the formation of interregional consortia
- Strategies for partner search
- Networking in topic-specific breakout sessions
Kick-off: March 23, 2026 (focus on Bavaria)
This first session is particularly relevant for stakeholders from Bavaria and offers an ideal opportunity to network and develop project ideas at an early stage.
