Considering a doctorate can raise an important question: What could I actually research?
You might have professional experience, an interest in a particular field or questions you'd like to explore in greater depth – without knowing how to turn them into a research topic.
The workshop ‘How to Find Your Research Topic’ offers a practical introduction to this first step of the doctoral journey. Participants will explore approaches to identifying potential research directions, reflecting on their interests and narrowing down initial ideas.
The session is open to anyone considering a doctorate. No fully developed research idea or research proposal is required.
What doctoral opportunities does the SCE offer?
In cooperation with our UK university partners, the SCE offers an Executive Part-Time Doctorate (DBA), designed for professionals who want to combine doctoral research with their careers. If you have in-depth experience in leading or starting an enterprise, you may be eligible for this programme.
The DBA is one of several doctoral pathways available through the SCE. We also offer the Doctorate in Business Innovation (DBI), in cooperation with the University of Aveiro in Portugal.
