The prize is awarded on the basis of a voting in which everyone can cast one vote for their favorite until October 23. The Stadtsparkassen explain the premise behind their prize on mein-muenchen.de as follows:
With the Munich Start-up Award [...] we want to promote the good start-up climate in Munich and encourage people to become self-employed.
The nominees include Puray, who have developed a medical catheter that is disinfected with UVC light during use. This means it can neutralize all known viruses and bacteria - including multi-resistant germs - and is also harmless for patients and medical staff. With this idea, the Puray team has already received the Health-i-Award 2022, the Signal Iduna Prize, as well as EXIST and FLÜGGE funding and was part of Batch #6 of the SCE Incubation Program.
djoon also went through the Incubation Program in Batch #5. Their delicate date chocolates are a welcome alternative to industrial sweets. Crunchy chocolate made from 100% pure cocoa covers a caramelized, juicy Medjool date with a nutty or fruity filling. They completely dispense with added sugar and only use vegan organic ingredients.
Other candidates are 42watt, which simplifies climate-friendly renovations, ARTICLY, which transforms news and briefings into audio for people with visual impairments, and Invenda, which provides experts and specialists from the healthcare sector.
We wish all teams every success and hope for your active support in the voting! Vote here with just a few clicks.
