baind receives EXIST founder grant

Our Start-up League Team baind (formerly CENSAI) receives the EXIST-Gründerstipendium from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action! We are happy about this positive news from the Federal Ministry and about the further support and funding they now receive besides the Start-up Certificate, the funding program of HM and SCE.

The climate crisis is arguably the greatest and most urgent challenge of our time. In industrialized countries, around one third of CO2 emissions can be traced back to buildings. Nevertheless, the building sector in Germany has missed the emission reduction target set out in the Climate Protection Act for the second time in a row. Property owners and users are feeling strong pressure to operate their properties more sustainably.

There is great potential for energy optimization in the installed building technology. baind, which many of you may still know as CENSAI, therefore offers an artificial intelligence (AI)-based control system for the building automation of non-residential buildings (NWG) and industrial plants. The software solution builds on the existing building technology and integrates all existing hardware across sectors and manufacturers. In this way, high energy savings can be achieved in the end. The team consists of Sebastian Weisel, Florian Huber and Hendrik Maier.

Prof. Dr. Christian Schweigler from HM Faculty 05 supports the founding team as a mentor and expert in the field of building services engineering.

The EXIST-Gründerstipendium supports students, graduates and scientists from universities and non-university research institutions who want to realize their start-up idea and implement it in a business plan.

We will gladly support you in your start-up project and together we will submit an application. The start-up support team is at your side. Contact us via e-mail at gf@sce.de.
