The event clearly showed how great the need and interest in viable succession solutions is, as thousands of small and medium-sized companies in Bavaria are faced with the challenge of arranging their succession every year - and with it over 100,000 jobs. However, less than half of these companies currently find a suitable successor.
The SCE has always pursued the goal of promoting entrepreneurial thinking - whether for start-ups or in the context of succession solutions. Company succession is often an underestimated form of entrepreneurship, but one that holds enormous potential. SCE CEO Klaus Sailer also talked about this in the panel discussion "Mastering succession, securing the future" with StM Huber Aiwanger, BIHK head Dr. Manfred Gößl, UnternehmerTUM director Christian Mohr and SME expert Prof. Dr. Marcel Hülsbeck.
"Bavaria's strength is its economic diversity, which is primarily guaranteed by the family businesses in urban and rural areas. We must not lose this diversity. That is why our common goal is to support companies in finding successors and thus secure value creation and jobs in Bavaria," said Manfred Gößl, Managing Director of the Bavarian CCIs.
The Bavarian Succession Day was a strong sign of cooperation between politics, business and educational institutions such as the SCE. With its expertise in entrepreneurial education and innovation promotion, the SCE continues to see itself as an active partner in shaping sustainable succession solutions.
