DBI-Day 2025 - Information on the part-time doctorate on April 11

Are you toying with the idea of doing a doctorate alongside your job? You are cordially invited to our DBI Day 2025 on April 11 from 10.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. to find out more. On DBI Day, doctoral candidates interested in the Doctor of Business Innovation (DBI) will receive an overview of the content and process of the cooperative part-time doctoral program offered by the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship together with the University of Aveiro (UA) in Portugal. The event will take place virtually and is free of charge and without obligation. Registration at www.sce.de/events

With the Doctor of Business Innovation (DBI), you will earn a high-level PhD degree and your ticket to the international business and academic world. To obtain this degree, you will carry out an evidence-based research project for your own company. To this end, the University of Aveiro offers various opportunities to discuss substantial fields of innovation and provides step-by-step support for your dissertation. Completion of the DBI confers the right to hold a doctorate.

With the Doctorate in Business Innovation (DBI) you will acquire in-depth scientific knowledge of business innovation oriented towards specific professional fields of application. In addition, you will gain the ability to lead and design innovative research in a chosen business environment. Furthermore, you will sharpen your critical attitude and"out of the box thinking" to develop new products, processes and technologies.

 

The DBI program was developed in international cooperation with the partner university in Aveiro, Portugal. With 16 faculties and 58 degree programs, the University of Aveiro offers a wide range of educational opportunities for 14,000 students. The modern designed campus is located directly on the Atlantic coast and offers researchers and students many great leisure opportunities, in addition to a wide range of courses.

The application includes a preliminary research proposal with a scientifically sound presentation of the research project, as well as a CV, a copy of the diploma/master's certificate and proof of several years of professional experience.
