The nominees for the Strascheg Award 2024 have been announced!

Many thanks to all participants for submitting their business ideas for the Strascheg Award 2024! On December 3, the participants of the ideas competition will be celebrated for their entrepreneurial thinking and wealth of ideas in the "Red Cube" at Munich University of Applied Sciences and nine winners will be chosen. They can look forward to prize money totaling €30,000, sponsored by the Renate and Falk Strascheg Foundation! Get your ticket for the award ceremony now!

In addition, all participants receive a personal consultation and qualified feedback on their business idea and the opportunity to receive funding in the SCE Incubation Program with intensive advice, exclusive workshops for founders, a prototype budget and a workplace in the incubator.

The following 18 nominees are now hoping to receive an award at the Strascheg Award 2024 and will present their business ideas to the audience during the award ceremony.

Category 1 "Best business idea from a course at HM":

  • Beyond Barriers is a barrier-free navigation app that provides real-time information on the status and location of elevators as well as barrier-free routes to enable people with mobility impairments to move around safely and independently (students of Faculty (FK) 09, Industrial Engineering and Management; Project I + II course, Prof. Dr. Sven Sterzenbach and Dr. Dana Schultchen).
  • HILDE One is a smart and flexible plug-in concept for drinking vessels that automatically creates accurate and up-to-date drinking protocols for elderly people in nursing homes (students and alumni of FK06, Applied Natural Sciences and Mechatronics and FK10, HM Business School; course: Innovation in Health, MedTech and Wellbeing, Prof. Dr. Bettina Maisch and Prof. Dr. Andreas Schlüter).
  • KarmaKiosk is a solidarity-based kiosk concept for revitalizing subway stations as social meeting places. With fair prices, a solidarity counter and a neighborhood board, it creates a meeting place for social integration, combats the loss of public meeting places and makes meaningful use of empty subway kiosks to strengthen the local community and support people in need (students at FK11, Social Sciences and FK14, Tourism; course: Social X-Factor, lecturer Johanna Kobilke).
  • NOONECT is an app that supports adolescents and young adults with Noonan syndrome in growing up and becoming independent (students of FK12 for Design and MUC.DAII; course: Playful Healthcare, Prof. Dr. Tina Weisser).
  • PolyNerveSolutions develops the world's first and only therapy game for the hands to treat polyneuropathy for over 60-year-old PNP patients (students of FK03, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aircraft Engineering and FK10, HM Business school; course: Entrepreneurship, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andreas Eursch, lecturer Doris Polzin).
  • Storchreport is an innovative app that digitizes and accelerates the time-consuming process of handwritten birth documentation for midwives (students of FK07, Computer Science and Mathematics; course: Digital Entrepreneurship, Prof. Dr. Sebastian Dünnebeil).

Category 2 "Best business idea during the study period at HM":

  • Complant is THE biodegradable plant pot that reduces annoying, environmentally harmful plastic waste and at the same time makes gardening easier for hobby gardeners and industrial plant growers (students of FK09, Industrial Engineering and Management and FK05, Technical Systems, Processes and Communication).
  • Drik 17 solves the existing problem of sporty cyclists in road cycling and gravel sports to store repair equipment easily, safely and aesthetically on bike tours (students of the Deep Dive Entrepreneurship Master).
  • Intra AI is an AI-based platform that bundles scattered company knowledge and gives employees access to relevant information within seconds (students of FK04, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology).
  • Ivy Stories is a digital platform for creating a personal autobiography with the help of its own innovative software for people in the last stage of life (students of FK14, Social Sciences, alumnus of FK04, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology and alumnus of SCE "APE-Weiterbildung").
  • YeboBaby! is an online platform that offers German pregnant women and mothers worldwide professional midwifery care and a community - flexible and online, no matter where they are (FK10 student, HM Business School).
  • ZeroRunWay develops instant take-off wing drones that enable high payload, range and speed of wings without a catapult or runway, so that firefighters can safely and quickly fight the increasing number of forest fires (students of FK03, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aircraft Engineering).

Category 3 "Best business idea from science and practice at HM":

  • better concrete is a software that enables cheaper and more sustainable production of concrete for ready-mix concrete manufacturers (students of Faculty 07, Computer Science and Mathematics, alumnus/SHK of FK02, Civil Engineering, and FK03, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aircraft Engineering).
  • BrainWave offers an AI-supported solution with a digital assistant that prevents knowledge loss, optimizes knowledge access and supports large and medium-sized companies in building efficient intranets (alumni of the SCE "APE-Weiterbildung" and a student of FK12, Design).
  • DToxify is an innovative and transparent AI solution for online platforms with user-generated content that provides reliable detection and pre-filtering of toxic content to create safer digital spaces for all users (FK07, Computer Science and Mathematics student).
  • Inclusive inc(l)ubator program is a start-up program that uses a strength-oriented approach to enable people with disabilities or people from socially disadvantaged backgrounds to successfully develop and implement their own start-up ideas (alumni and lecturer of FK11, Social Sciences).
  • SMAT is an AI-supported extension for Canva, Figma and Photoshop that greatly simplifies post creation. It automates text extraction, post-generation and integration to reduce production times by over 90% (Alumnus of SCE "APE-Weiterbildung").
  • WAEVO develops a portable all-in-one box to produce drinking water from salt water (Alumnus of FK03, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aircraft Engineering, Diploma Automotive Engineering)
