The team is developing the handiest, fully automated biogas plants on the market to save CO2 and generate energy at the same time, mainly in the catering industry, by recycling organic waste.
The idea came to them during an evening cooking session, after which they continued testing and tinkering in grandma's garage every week. With this concept, ecomates successfully went through Incubation Batch #8 at the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship, secured EXIST and FLÜGGE funding and are now working as an independent start-up in the premises of our Precelerator.
Without the Munich University of Applied Sciences and the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship, we might still be tinkering in our garage today. The entire Munich ecosystem is a great source of motivation and inspiration for us",
comments the team in the interview.
For the future, they see their biogas plants in series production in the DACH region and later throughout Europe. We wish them continued success on their exciting journey there!
