Mlynek has already built four prototypes of his heat pump washing machine from air conditioning parts. With an electrical power input of 600-750 watts, the heat pump generates almost the same heating power as the heating element with a power input of around 1700 watts. His goal is now to further develop his development in terms of appearance, space requirements and ease of operation until it is ready for the market, and to integrate heat pumps into dishwashers with a similar technical design. The district rewarded him with €1,200.
Second place with 900€ prize money went to the project "Construction of a Tiny House" from natural building materials. Third place was shared by the project "Climate-friendly websites" and the project "Energy-efficient house monument", each with €450 in prize money.
The award ceremony took place on Monday, November 21, in the large conference room at the Dachau District Office.
