Painting, plastering and scaffolding companies are suffering from a shortage of skilled workers. The patent-pending computer vision technology relieves the burden on foremen and site managers. Surveying - the process of measuring a building - is digitized and reduced from several hours to less than 10 minutes. All that is needed are smartphone photos and the addresses of the buildings. The companies not only save time thanks to the AI measurement, but also reduce costly errors in material costing and can offer their services for more projects.
The team consists of:
- Emil Henking (CTO): Engineering scientist with a focus on machine learning in building physics. Emil and Chris met through the interdisciplinary Master in Resource Efficient Building at the TU Munich.
- Leonhard Noll (COO & Computer Vision): Civil engineer specializing in computer vision for buildings. Leo got to know Chris through the Bavarian Construction Industry Excellence Scholarship at the Oskar-von-Miller Forum.
- Christopher Höllerer (CEO): Visionary with a background in architecture, real estate management and resource-efficient construction (M.Sc.). He was previously Product Owner at the climate-tech start-up 42watt.
The team is supported by Sebastian Dünnebeil, Professor of Digital Business Models and Entrepreneurship. He supported the team via SCE Incubation at SCE back in March 2025, before the team received the prestigious AI NATION Grant in August 2025. In October 2025, the team received the Strascheg Award in the "Research" category (at that time under the name WattWert). Since March 2026, Prof. Dünnebeil has been supporting the team again with his entrepreneurial expertise as an official exist mentor.
