The EXIST-Women funding program gives women interested in starting a business the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the topics of business start-ups and self-employment. The program is aimed at female graduates, scientists, students and professionally qualified women who want to start a business alone or in a team.
The new funding program of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) aims to encourage more women to found start-ups in the scientific environment. The EXIST-Women model project aims to support women in developing and implementing innovative business ideas in order to strengthen diversity in the start-up scene and increase the proportion of female founders. Each university has applied with its own qualification program specifically for female founders.
The mentoring program includes coaching, mentoring, training, networking, individual support and material resources of up to €2,000 per person. In addition, graduates receive a three-month grant of up to €2,500, plus €150 per child. The program also offers accompanying events, access to workspaces, a peer-learning format with other participants as well as individual coaching and advice.
