Go back

In our December episode we welcomeAnastasia Barner, founder of FeMentor, a reverse mentoring platform for women. At 22, she is one of the youngest founders in Germany and has managed to turn a matter of the heart into a successful social start-up in just under 2 years. This episode is all about the topic: mentoring. Anastasia shares with us her story - why she never wanted to be a founder and yet is now, what mentoring means to her and how it has helped her on her personal life journey and why she thinks FeMentor can make a contribution to supporting women on their way. Listen now!

At only 20, Anastasia founded her start-up FeMentor - a reverse mentoring platform by women for women, which today comprises more than 1000 women (mentors & mentees). She herself was accompanied and supported on her way by a multitude of mentors. Today, at the age of 22, she is at a point where she can stand up for what is really important to her: equality, empowerment for women, creating role models and a network where everyone learns from each other!

It is important to her that the platform is free for both mentors and mentees and that it is a "learning from each other" experience. Her recipe for success? To focus on the people. That's why all mentors and mentees are still matched "by hand." If you'd like to give it a try, feel free to sign up for free on FeMentor and join the ever-growing network. Need more inspiration? You can hear a few of the FeMentor success stories in this episode.
