Half-time in EXIST start-up grant for start-up league team checkademia

Go back

For almost half a year now, our Start-up League team Checkademia can already look forward to the EXIST-Gründerstipendium from the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection. Prior to the EXIST funding, they were funded by HM and SCE as part of the SCE Accelerator Program in Batch 7.

Checkademia is the AI-based study choice coach that helps prospective students discover their passion and decide on the "right" study. The product offering includes (1) an AI-based study choice test, (2) a cohort-based online course including live webinars and a community, and (3) comprehensive website and social media content on study subjects and career fields. Checkademia aims to contribute to the happiness and success of prospective students while sustainably reducing the incredibly high dropout rate of ~30%. With the help of Checkademia, hopefully everyone will know what and where to study in the future!

"We, Dr. Dennis Bergmann, Marvin Bergmann and Cuong Le, are incredibly happy to be able to push our startup idea further with the help of the EXIST foundation grant and to gain satisfied customers. In this context, we would also like to thank our mentor Prof. Dr. Gudrun Socher from Faculty 07 of Computer Science and Mathematics and the entire SCE team for their great support." - Team Checkademia

The EXIST-Gründerstipendium supports students, graduates as well as scientists from universities and non-university research institutions who want to realize their start-up idea and turn it into a business plan.
