After a brief welcome, each team will have 5 minutes for a presentation, followed by three minutes for questions from the floor. All 14 teams will present, including a break, between 9:00 am and 12:15 pm. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity for direct exchange between the teams and the practice partners. The teams will present in blocks one after the other per practice partner.
Practice partner:
- Horizont e.V., an aid organization initiated by actress Jutta Speidel, which supports mothers and their children who have become homeless;
- Girls Gearing up e.V., an initiative that encourages young girls in India, Africa and Germany to aspire to leadership positions in society;
- Innovation Lab of the Bavarian Chamber of Public Utilities, an approach to make the chamber's agency-like structure more agile and innovation-friendly;
- Nature Culture, a startup that aims to use technological monitoring to help farmers practice more CO²-saving agriculture;
- Gutfeel, a startup that uses digital customer surveys to generate opportunities to donate.
For all of these organizations, students have spent the past few months trying to analyze, describe, evaluate and, if necessary, calculate the social return, or social impact, using various models. The background to this is that more and more social investors, but also public funders and foundations, are demanding proof of impact. At the same time, social enterprises increasingly want to calculate and present their impact, both for themselves and their employees, as well as for all stakeholders concerned.
