Apply now for the 34th Family Business Career Day

Go back

Meet Germany's leading companies on June 6, 2025 at the 34th Family Business Career Day on the Criesbach Campus in Ingelfingen. SCE students and founders can look forward to 10 exclusive wildcards. Apply now and find your dream job! The application deadline is May 12, 2025 and places are limited.

Under the patronage of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, pre-selected specialists and managers meet the owners and top decision-makers of leading family businesses from all over Germany. Well-known family businesses such as Kärcher, Würth, dm and Lidl are happy to look for future managers here.

In a very personal setting, individual career paths can be developed in a binding discussion with the company representatives. Compared to anonymous public companies, family businesses generally have significantly flatter hierarchical structures, greater personal responsibility on the part of employees and a more pronounced corporate social responsibility. The main target groups are graduates, young professionals and professionals from all disciplines, particularly from the fields of engineering, IT and economics.

More than ever, entrepreneurs are faced with the question: How can the future of the company be secured? One thing is certain: it is not possible without a qualified and motivated workforce. This basic rule is usually part of the corporate culture in family businesses. - Dr. Robert Habeck, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection

The "Family Business Career Day" is regarded as the most important recruiting and networking event for family businesses, which account for almost two thirds of jobs in Germany. The event format is designed as a platform for companies to offer targeted solutions to the shortage of skilled workers in the form of direct exchange opportunities. Collaborations with universities, network partners and the media support the initiative and contribute to the long-term retention of skilled workers and the promotion of Germany as a business location.

The "Family Business Career Day" is a joint initiative of leading family entrepreneurs, the Entrepreneurs Club and the Family Business Foundation. Owners and HR decision-makers get to know highly qualified specialists and managers. The patron is the Federal Minister of Economics.

To apply for a Wild Card, interested parties should enter the keyword "SCE" in the application form under the question "How did you hear about the event?". This means they do not have to go through the official application process, but are admitted directly. Places are limited.
