The Munich Startup Award is entering a new round: the "Best Munich Startup" will once again be sought at the 2nd Munich Startup Festival on July 17, 2024 at Backstage. Selected startups will compete against each other in two semi-finals of the pitch competition at the festival and the audience will decide who moves on to the final. A top-class jury will then select the winning team of the Munich Startup Award. This team receives 10,000 euros in prize money and can call itself "Munich Startup of the Year".

Do you want to enter the title race with your startup? Then apply now. Applications can be submitted via a form directly on the Munich Startup Festival website. The application deadline is 2 June.

To be eligible to apply, startups must be based in the greater Munich area, i.e. specifically in the city or district of Munich or one of the districts of Dachau, Ebersberg, Erding, Freising, Fürstenfeldbruck, Landsberg am Lech or Starnberg. By the deadline of July 17, 2024, participating companies must also not be older than five years. The products or services developed by the startup must pursue an innovative and scalable approach. In addition, a functional or demonstrable prototype of the product or service must already exist. All startups wishing to apply must be listed in our startup listing(enter here).

The degree of innovation, business idea, feasibility, market potential, competitive advantage, team, scalability, customer loyalty and social impact will be assessed for selection to the semi-finals.
