PACKMATISCH is a finalist for a Science Prize

Go back

The founders of the start-up PACKMATISCH, Joshua and Julian Schwab, were among the three finalists who were able to present their idea to the advisory board of the prestigious Science Prize awarded by the EHI Foundation and GS1 Germany on January 25.

PACKMATISCH offers a concept for a fully automated supermarket or farm store that is permanently open and thus enables shopping at any time of day or night. The aim is to simplify the shopping routine and create greater time flexibility. Thanks to the advanced storage system, all types of products are always available, from groceries for weekly needs to snacks for movie nights, without long queues. The concept also promises lower prices by dispensing with sales staff and making more efficient use of space compared to traditional stores.

Representatives of industry giants such as Ferrero, Dr. Oetker, REWE Group and dm-drogerie markt are on the advisory board of the science prize. The official announcement of the winner will be made at the award ceremony on February 28 at the EuroCIS trade fair in Düsseldorf. Nevertheless, the SCE is keeping its fingers crossed for its alumni!
