The Munich-based start-up WORKINGER has set itself the goal of enabling small and medium-sized companies to recruit skilled workers from third countries risk-free. Their solution gives them access to a global network of qualified and vetted specialists and allows them to manage the entire relocation process in one place.

The Innovation Award of the City of Munich is aimed at interested parties from the startup community, students, innovation-driven founders and all creative talents who want to develop and implement viable, innovative solutions for the specified challenges.
This year's challenges were:
- The cool side of Munich - Routing for footpaths in the shade
- Digital Welcome Center - AI-supported information portal for new and future Munich citizens
- Job and recruiting compass for international newcomers
- Improving the data situation on stationary traffic
- Choose Green - communicating energy-efficient mobility routines for Munich
As part of the 2024 competition, there was also a special focus on ideas for Neuperlach, which will be implemented in co-creation projects for three to six months after the summer break.
The award ceremony took place on July 23, 2024 with the finalists selected in a pre-selection process. Mayor Dominik Krause, patron of the innovation competition, gave a festive welcome to the award ceremony. As part of the event, all finalists were able to pitch and give the audience a brief insight into the proposed solutions to the advertised challenges.
The subsequent drink provided an opportunity to network and exchange ideas with the finalists, the city administration, the cooperating entrepreneurship centers and other players from the start-up and innovation ecosystem.
