micro factory 3DSolutions Takes Third Place in the 2026 Munich Business Plan Competition

Go back

Great news from our alumni network: The SCE alumni startup micro factory 3DSolutions took third place at the 2026 Munich Business Plan Competition! As one of eight finalists, the team impressed the jury with its solution for fully automated medical 3D printing. Organized by BayStartUP and the LfA Förderbank Bayern, the competition annually honors innovative startup teams whose technologies and business models have the potential to make a lasting impact on the economy and society.

micro factory 3DSolutions is developing a solution for the fully automated production of resin-based 3D-printed parts for dental and other medical applications. The process covers all manufacturing steps—from 3D printing to the fully finished, post-processed component—and reduces manual steps, standardizes production, and increases safety for users. Dental labs and dental practices, in particular, benefit from reproducible, documented, and scalable manufacturing of medical products.

The team already won first place in the Strascheg Ideas Award in 2022, successfully completed Batch #8 of the SCE Incubation program, and—with the support of the SCE—secured funding from KickStart@HM and exist . If you, too, are looking for professional support for your startup idea, apply for the SCE Incubation by August 2 or submit your idea to the Strascheg Ideas Award!

The SCE warmly congratulates micro factory 3DSolutions on this success!
