Strascheg Award 2024: These are the winners!

On December 3, the winners of the Strascheg Award 2024 were honored at a festive awards ceremony. Many thanks to all participants for their exciting submissions and inspiring pitches during the award ceremony and congratulations to the winners of the evening! The nine winners from 3 categories can look forward to prize money totaling €30,000.

These are the winners of the Strascheg Award 2024!

Category 1: Best business idea from a course

1st place (€5,000 prize money)

HILDE One is a smart and flexible plug-in concept for drinking vessels that automatically creates accurate and up-to-date drinking protocols for elderly people in nursing homes (students and alumni of Faculty 06, Applied Natural Sciences and Mechatronics and Faculty 10, HM Business School; course: Innovation in Health, MedTech and Wellbeing, Prof. Dr. Bettina Maisch and Prof. Dr. Andreas Schlüter).

2nd place (€3,000 prize money)

KarmaKiosk is a solidarity-based kiosk concept for revitalizing subway stations as social meeting places. With fair prices, a solidarity counter and a neighborhood board, it creates a meeting place for social integration, combats the loss of public meeting places and makes sensible use of empty subway kiosks to strengthen the local community and support people in need (students at Faculties 11, Social Sciences and 14, Tourism; course: Social X-Factor, lecturer Johanna Kobilke).

3rd place (€2,000 prize money)

Storchreport is an innovative app that digitizes and accelerates the time-consuming process of handwritten birth documentation for midwives (students of Faculty 07, Computer Science and Mathematics; course: Digital Entrepreneurship, Prof. Dr. Sebastian Dünnebeil).

Category 2: Best business idea during the study period

1st place (€5,000 prize money)

ZeroRunWay develops instant take-off wing drones that enable high payload, range and speed of wings without a catapult or runway, so that firefighters can safely and quickly fight the increasing forest fires (students of Faculty 03, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering).

2nd place (€3,000 prize money)

Intra AI is an AI-based platform that bundles scattered company knowledge and gives employees access to relevant information within seconds (students of Faculty 04, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology).

3rd place (€2,000 prize money)

DRIK 17 solves the existing problem of sporty cyclists in road cycling and gravel sports to store repair equipment easily, safely and aesthetically on bike tours (students of the Deep Dive Entrepreneurship Master).

Category 3: Best business idea from science and practice

1st place (€5,000 prize money)

SMAT is an AI-supported extension for Canva, Figma and Photoshop that greatly simplifies post creation. It automates text extraction, post generation and integration to reduce production times by over 90% (Alumnus of SCE "APE-Weiterbildung").

2nd place (€3,000 prize money)

DToxify is an innovative and transparent AI solution for online platforms with user-generated content that provides reliable detection and pre-filtering of toxic content to create safer digital spaces for all users (employee of the Faculty 07, Computer Science and Mathematics).

3rd place (€2,000 prize money)

better concrete is a software that enables cheaper and more sustainable production of concrete for ready-mix concrete manufacturers (students of Faculty 07, Computer Science and Mathematics, alumnus/SHK of Faculty 02, Civil Engineering, and Faculty 03, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering).

Participation in the Strascheg Award is only the first step for many. All participants have the opportunity to have a personal consultation and qualified feedback on their business idea with the SCE start-up consultants. They can also apply for our SCE support program for prospective founders to become part of the Start-up League!
