Triple helix: The role of universities in innovation ecosystems

SCE is pleased to announce a major scientific publication: The special issue of the prestigious Triple Helix Journal, published on March 25, spotlights Start for Future (SFF) as a key case study. This issue examines the transformative impact of cross-border innovation ecosystems and the role of universities in entrepreneurial education.

As one of the lead actors behind this publication, the SCE has been instrumental in developing new models for sustainable innovation and entrepreneurship.

Universities as drivers of innovation

This special issue of the Triple Helix Journal looks at how universities, industry and society can work together to drive effective innovation processes. With contributions from experts from the SFF ecosystem, it emphasizes the need for a new social contract for universities that redefines their role in European innovation landscapes.

Particularly noteworthy is the contribution by Sebastian Planck, Sabrina Tomasi, Dr. Bettina Maisch, Colette Henry, Slavica Singer, Tomasz Skica, Bárbara Coelho Gabriel and Christoph Stöckmann. Their joint article "A New Social Contract for Higher Education Institutions: Exploring the Role of HEIs in European Innovation Ecosystems" analyzes how universities can assume their responsibility towards business, politics and society and shape innovative educational models.

Six groundbreaking articles on the future of higher education
