Universities as drivers of innovation
This special issue of the Triple Helix Journal looks at how universities, industry and society can work together to drive effective innovation processes. With contributions from experts from the SFF ecosystem, it emphasizes the need for a new social contract for universities that redefines their role in European innovation landscapes.
Particularly noteworthy is the contribution by Sebastian Planck, Sabrina Tomasi, Dr. Bettina Maisch, Colette Henry, Slavica Singer, Tomasz Skica, Bárbara Coelho Gabriel and Christoph Stöckmann. Their joint article "A New Social Contract for Higher Education Institutions: Exploring the Role of HEIs in European Innovation Ecosystems" analyzes how universities can assume their responsibility towards business, politics and society and shape innovative educational models.
