The Doctor Degree in Business Administration (DBA) is an application-oriented doctoral program designed to meet the needs of industry and business. The SCE in cooperation with the HM Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences offers this part-time doctorate in close cooperation with the Edinburgh Business School "Heriot Watt University". The focus is on innovation management.

Supervision is provided by a professor from the HM Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences and a professor from Heriot Watt University in tandem. The title DBA is awarded by Heriot Watt University after successful completion of the doctorate. DBA Fees:

Tuition fee: 10,000 €/year for 3 years.

Each additional full extension year: €10,000
Renewal year for "writing up" submission: € 4,000

DBA Day at the SCE

Every year in April, SCE hosts DBA Day, our information day on this form of promotion. There you can expect:

  • An overview of the content and process of the cooperative part-time doctoral program that we offer together with Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland.
  • Take the opportunity to talk to supervising professors of Heriot Watt University and program managers from Munich, to discuss your research question and to register.

Current: In cooperation with the "MBA for officers only" study program at Hm Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences, we have been offering a cohort exclusively for this group since 2021. Michael Hack, Dipl.Wirt.Ing., is head of Corporate Development at the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE).

Michael graduated as an industrial engineer from Stuttgart Media University. After many years as an entrepreneur in the printing industry, he sold his printing companies in order to look for new challenges. He is now focused on promoting education, training, innovation and entrepreneurship. In his own management consultancy for strategy and marketing, he helped young entrepreneurs and start-ups.

With publications in leading printing magazines and print media issues in the field and as an expert in strategy and marketing, he has an established reputation in the printing industry. He is also a speaker at conferences and events.

Michael's main areas of focus are the promotion of economic relationships, the sponsors and patrons of the University of Applied Sciences in Munich and the development of a new culture of education.
