Go back

The startups cureVision and SUMM AI were awarded the Bavarian Innovation Prize 2024! The prize was presented by Bavaria's Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Chamber of Crafts for Munich and Upper Bavaria.

The Bavarian Innovation Prize is presented every two years to outstanding innovations that have previously been examined by the German Patent and Trademark Office. The CureVision team commented on the award on LinkedIn as follows:

This award is one thing above all for us: an incentive! Relieving the burden on nursing staff and improving medical care - that's what drives us at #cureVision every day.

cureVision promises 90% faster wound documentation with AI-supported 3D wound analysis, which is also easy to digitize. This time saving and increased accuracy would benefit hospitals, nursing homes and doctors. With this approach, the team has already won the Health-i-award 2023, the Digital Health Prize 2023, the EU funding program "WomenTechEU" and the "AI and Robotics" prize at the Festival of the Future. It was also part of Batch #4 of the SCE Incubation Program (formerly Start-up Certificate). You can find out more in the following SCE interview with cureVision.

AI+MUNICH startup SUMM AI is also among the award winners. The team has developed an AI tool that translates documents and other complex texts into simple language. This makes them barrier-free and the tool now also works in English and French as well as German.

We congratulate the two SCE teams and all the other winners on their success and wish them all the best on their entprepreneurial journey!
