The food start-up djoon, founded by Caroline and Martin Grellner and Leon Niederl, stands for high-quality, handmade sweets made from dates that are both more sustainable and healthier than previous alternatives. Their homemade date chocolates combine indulgence with environmentally friendly principles. The founders emphasize:
"We are incredibly proud to have won the Munich Founder Award 2024. This win shows that you can achieve great things with an artisanal product like date pralines - made in Munich! We at djoon have achieved this through the combination of delicious products, the right values, a great team and a lot of passion!"
Puray and enna are also among the 8 nominees for the award. The former is developing a medical catheter that combats multi-resistant germs and hospital infections, while the latter is making it easier for senior citizens in particular to access the internet with an innovative but simple card-reading system.
djoon's, Puray's and enna's success stories began in the SCE Incubation Program. There, the founders receive professional coaching at an early stage, access to resources such as their own office in our Incubator and a comprehensive network of experts. Do you also have a start-up idea and need support? The application phase for the 13th batch of the Incubation Program is still open until January 2025, find out more here.
In February 2025, djoon will also have the opportunity to present itself to a wide audience of experts at Stadtsparkasse München's Entrepreneur Day. The SCE would like to congratulate djoon on this success and would like to thank all participants in the public voting who helped djoon to win!
