A different way of working - careers in family businesses. On July 5, 2024, the "Family Business Career Day" will take place at the dm-dialogicum in Karlsruhe. Over 60 leading family businesses such as Hilti, Kärcher and the Schwarz Group have already registered. Under the motto "Live work differently", pre-selected talents will have the opportunity to discuss individual career opportunities in direct contact with the decision-makers. The "Family Business Career Day" is regarded as the most important recruiting and networking event for family businesses, which account for almost two thirds of jobs in Austria. The event format is designed as a platform for companies to offer targeted solutions to the skills shortage in the form of direct exchange opportunities. Collaborations with universities, network partners and the media support the initiative and contribute to the long-term retention of skilled workers and the promotion of Germany as a business location.

The "Family Business Career Day" is a joint initiative of leading family entrepreneurs, the Entrepreneurs Club and the Family Business Foundation. Owners and HR decision-makers get to know highly qualified specialists and managers. The patron is the Federal Minister of Economics.
To apply for a Wild Card, interested parties should enter the keyword "SCE" in the application form under the question "How did you hear about the event?". This means they do not have to go through the official application process, but are admitted directly. Places are limited.
