PointTwelve impressed the judges with its innovative SaaS platform for manufacturers of energy-intensive goods that enables more efficient certification of production. The platform uses IoT and software solutions to prove the use of renewable energy, create digital product passports, quantify carbon emissions and obtain government-approved certificates.
The Munich Startup Special Prize, endowed with 2,500 euros, was awarded during the Bits & Pretzels networking day at Oktoberfest. Clemens Baumgärtner, Department of Labor and Economics, emphasized Munich's potential as a startup location and praised PointTwelve's innovative solution.
