fIVE is our brand new monthly university podcast on female entrepreneurship offered by SCE and HM - Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences. The show is presented by our host Franziska Mattner; herself a female entrepreneur, learning designer and researcher in the field of women entrepreneurship. In the episode she is speaking with Lisa Duchscherer - Founder of Naked Minds & DBA student. Learn more about our new podcast format and enjoy the episode here or on Spotify, Apple podcast or your favorite podcast app. The recent episode (and all episodes) will be embedded here as soon as it's published on March 08, the International Womens Day.

In this episode Lisa and I talk about her double role as a female founder and DBA (Doctor Degree Business Administration) student. Naked Minds is an expert network for digital transformation projects, ‘shaking up’ the classical consultancy area. From her motivation to the challenges, failures, fears and ups and downs, but also to what ‘being an entrepreneur’ means for Lisa, this episode is the perfect inspiration for you whether you think about starting your own business or a DBA program.

Shownotes:

When I was a kid my mum told me: “I think you have to be someone working in a circus, managing everything that is happening in the arena!” And I thought: “She is really making fun of me”, but I think the bottom line is: “I’m really good at multi-programme management and having a lot of strings in my hand and getting people together!” And when you start your own business, I think it exactly comes down to “being true to yourself”, asking yourself the question: “what is it, that I’m really good in?”

In this episode, Lisa and I talk about her personal journey from studying education to pursuing a successful career in the corporate world to starting her first, and second business. She gives practical advice and useful tips, and shares her strong passion and motivation for ‘living the life of an entrepreneur’. I really enjoyed our conversation, and we hope you do too and can learn, be inspired or motivated on your own paths. Feel free to reach out, and say hello!

What is it that you’re really good at? If you’re still on the path of finding out, we highly recommend checking out the video of Andy Goldstein, professor of Entrepreneurship at the LMU embedded in the MOOC “Introduction to Entrepreneurship”. It’s simple to enroll and you can also get a certificate in the end:
