Short facts

Target group

Students and graduates of all universities as well as professionals or prospective founders without a degree with an innovative and scalable start-up idea (all sectors) in the pre-start-up or early start-up phase.

Highlight for female founders in the summer batch (March to October): Additional offer during SCE Incubation → EXIST Women funding for selected participants.

Duration and cycle

Multi-month incubation program (on-site participation in Munich necessary; event language mainly English) to get started with your own start-up incl. official certificate graduation at HM after two semesters

Application at any time; the regular program starts every six months in March and October, but newcomers can even join at any time after the start of a batch.

Requirements and application

Successful completion of the SCE selection process (a higher education entrance qualification is required to obtain the certificate):

1. Online application (German/English) via the application form incl. file upload of a pitch deck (see template in the download section) and CVs of the applicants.

2. Live Pitch for selected teams.

The program is primarily intended for founders who can work on their idea for at least 15-25 hours per week over the next 6+ months. This is when this intensive program is most effective. For founders in the initial phase, we offer further options for flexible support (see Startup Consulting).

Costs

None for the SCE Incubation (program offers have a value of more than 20.000 Euro); only semester fees in case of registering for the optional startup certificate incl. enrollment at HM to claim students benefits, ECTS, and an official certificate graduation at HM after two semesters - students at a Munich university are exempt.

Apply now for SCE Incubation. We are looking forward to your idea!
