Since its inception four years ago, the collaboration between Hochschule München & Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München & LMU Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center, Technische Universität München & UnternehmerTUM has aimed to transform Munich's innovation scene from an academic perspective. The Munich Innovation Ecosystem Meetup served as a platform to transition this initiative into a lasting network, with the goal of shaping the Munich Agenda 2030.
Key Highlights and Insights
- Fostering co-creation between medium-sized enterprises and startups is crucial for driving innovation forward. But let's not stop there. We need to embrace more systemic approaches to innovation, considering not only revenue but also the well-being of people and the planet.
- We must attract international talent and venture capital through attractive offerings such as quality of life and interesting investment opportunities. However, it's imperative to ensure that innovation is used responsibly, where it matters and has a positive impact on society and the environment.
- Munich's vision is to develop into a sustainable and livable city, emphasizing the need for holistic urban development. To achieve this, we need more democratic ways of including all people within entrepreneurial processes, from single founders to unicorns, from hidden champions to innovation stars, from citizens to politicians.
- As we shape the future of Munich's innovation landscape, the Munich Innovation Ecosystem emerges as the go-to platform for exchange, networking, and shaping the agenda. The network will be a catalyst for change, highlighting the underlying principle that democracy is the basis for sustainable innovation.
Let's collaborate, innovate responsibly, and build a future where innovation thrives for the betterment of all.
