Our accelerator for the beverage industry, DICA, starts the new year with a successful Matching Day full of energy! We are happy to welcome Batch #10.

After receiving over 45 applications, the finalists Bloody Water, Dr. Owl, Calow, Meoton, Circly, koawach and cascaritas were delighted to be invited to the Matching Day. At the event, they were able to share their ideas and present them in exciting pitches. After two pre-workshops, the time together was used to network and exchange ideas with our committed partners Franken Brunnen, Ardagh, INSIDE and our guest Zintinus.
In the following we also present the selection for DICA Batch#10.

Start-ups Batch #10

Dr. Owl

Dr. Owl is the drink tech pioneer for liquid beverage concentrates - so-called health drinks. They combine maximum functionality with maximum sustainability.
They shrink drinks by 90% by removing water and sugar, enrich them with nutrients and pack them in small pouches - the Health Pods. This saves up to 95% packaging waste and C02.
The drinks of the future will not only be much healthier, but also much more sustainable.

Koawach

Koawach combines the delicious taste of cocoa with the effect of guarana (high in caffeine) to offer a tasty, fair, organic and natural alternative to coffee and energy drinks. The brand has gained a firm place in retail and is successfully represented both offline and online. As a young company, Koawach has not only firmly established its position, but also maintains a spirit of innovation and is constantly developing new creative plans. DICA provides a perfect platform for this dynamic approach. We look forward to learning more about it and reporting back.



Meoton

Meoton uses innovative AI technology to collect comprehensive data on restaurants and their online food and drink offerings. This valuable information is used to support companies in the food & beverage sector in the areas of marketing, sales, market research, competitive intelligence and product innovation.
The food service industry is considered a particularly complex sector where F&B companies often have limited insight into their foodservice customers. This is due to the fact that sales are usually handled indirectly via wholesalers.
