EFT Mobility in a follow-up interview with Munich Startup

SCE Startup Alumni EFT Mobility - formerly known as Electric Flytrain - develops complete electric drive systems. Originally intended for the aviation industry, the company's solution has now also attracted the attention of other sectors. In an interview with Munich Startup, the founders reveal what else has changed and what the future holds for the startup.

Munich Startup: When we last spoke, you were still working on getting your first airplane in the air. What successes have you been able to celebrate since then?

EFT Mobility : A lot has happened since we last spoke. We have successfully completed our first flight, followed by numerous test flights to refine our technology and ensure its reliability. One of our recent achievements was the world record for a tethering drone with the highest payload (this drone is powered by a cable and can theoretically fly indefinitely).

In addition, we have seen significant demand from other industries such as commercial vehicles, off-road vehicles and boats, underlining the versatility and distinctiveness of our drives. In response to this growing demand and to better integrate these new customer segments, we have strategically decided to rebrand our company as EFT Mobility.

We have already achieved our first major successes in these new markets. We have equipped a first vehicle with our drives and now have it in the field. This expansion not only extends our market reach, but also underlines our commitment to innovative and sustainable mobility solutions in various mobility sectors.

Munich Startup: And what obstacles have you encountered along the way?
