Entrepreneurship and Digital Transformation is a full-time master programme designed to take three semesters.
You complete a total of 90 ECTS over 3 semester to graduate. The curriculum combines compulsory courses in entrepreneurship and digital technologies with a curated selection of electives from master’s programs across eight faculties at HM Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences.
At the heart of DeepDive Master is the project work over two semester. Project teams are formed through a guided matching process that brings together the right mix of people, perspectives, and topic interests. Through this process, you will be matched into an international, interdisciplinary team and join either an entrepreneurship project or a co-creation project. In the entrepreneurship track, you develop and validate your own digitally enhanced business idea. Projects may focus on areas such as mobility, health, food, or manufacturing, or on a topic you bring to the program. You present your idea to your peers and need to convince other students to join your project so that a team is formed and the idea can be pursued. Entrepreneurship projects in the field of mobility are accelerated by our close partnership with EIT Urban Mobility. In the co-creation track, you collaborate with corporate partners to develop innovative solutions to real-world digital challenges. Each project team is supported by both a professor and a startup coach.

What makes the DeepDive Master unique:
Digital technologies such as AI, the Internet of Things, and blockchain are reshaping business models across almost every industry. The international and interdisciplinary DeepDive Master at the HM Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences prepares students to understand these shifts and turn them into viable solutions, whether as founders or corporate innovators. A two-semester project sits at the core of the programme: students work on a real venture or a co-creation challenge, apply methods directly, and benefit from coaching and access to the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE) ecosystem.
What sets DeepDive apart
- Two semesters, one real project: build your own venture or co-create with a corporate partner
- HM × SCE: university excellence plus a vibrant startup ecosystem (mentoring, workshops, events, network)
- Responsible entrepreneurship: innovation with impact and accountability
- Tool-first mindset: modern digital methods and tools, including AI where it creates real value
- Portfolio over theory: outcomes, prototypes, learnings, and pitching experience
Curriculum (Overview)
Professional perspectives
After graduation, students are well prepared to launch a venture, take on responsibility in a startup, or drive innovation and transformation in established organisations. Typical career paths include venture building, product and innovation management, business development, and transformation/intrapreneurship roles - where digital solutions are developed, tested, and scaled.
Our approach
DeepDive is built around learning by doing within a clear structure: methods are not only taught, but applied in the project and improved iteratively - from problem understanding and validation to the business side (business model, go-to-market, scaling).
Support
- Supervision by a professor from the HM Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences and SCE coaches for each project team
- Regular feedback formats, peer learning, and access to the SCE network
- Room to experiment combined with structure and accountability

- Coaching & network: access to an international ecosystem, mentoring, partners, and events
