With the Start?Zuschuss! funding competition, the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs regularly supports founders in the initial phase of their entrepreneurial projects. The winners of the 16th round of the funding program have now been announced! A total of 20 start-ups from all over Bavaria were able to secure the funding. Among them are once again several start-ups from the SCE.

Experience the SCE start-ups live on December 5 and get into the pre-Christmas spirit at the same time. The Christmas Edition of the Innovation Café will focus on our SCE start-up community. You'll have the opportunity to get to know the personalities behind exciting start-ups from our community and ask the founders any questions you've always wanted to ask in person. Join us on November 7th to hear from 3 entrepreneurs discuss the ups, the downs, and the unexpected delights of setting up and running their own companies as women leaders, and a spirited discussion on what has changed and what still needs to be done to make entrepreneurship more equitable. In the networking session with wine & snacks you will be able to chat more in depth about female entrepreneurship, connect with interesting people and build your network.

In a pre-seed financing round, the AI+Munich funded team from Summ AI receives a investment in the seven-figure range. Their concept: complex texts are converted into simple language by the Munich-based start-up's AI solution, in order to make them more accessible.

On Nov. 8 from 2-5 p.m., the WE-Truck will be visiting our Precelerator. Discover the electronics future with Würth Elektronik's show truck event. Hardware startups & electronics/mechatronics students are welcome.

The Precelerator is the new community space for entrepreneurship & prototyping of SCE & HM and invites you to exciting events & workshops on a variety of topics from website creation with the help of AI to personality development and the development of your own sticker. The Precelerator is there to participate, that is, to develop your own and team projects for all students of HM.

The Munich-based med-tech startup and SCE alumni cureVision specializes in improving the care of chronic wounds through the use of artificial intelligence, and has now been awarded the Health-i Award 2023 for its efforts. The prestigious award for innovative ideas in healthcare is presented annually by Techniker Krankenkasse and Handelsblatt and recognizes the innovative potential of cureVision. We congratulate the entire team very much!

On Monday, October 9, 2023, the Deutsche Bahn (DB) mindbox Selection Day in Berlin was the venue for exciting insights into the world of collaboration between established companies and young startups. After the keynote speech by Michael Hack, SCE, on the topic of "CoCreate the Future", the four finalists of the competition, nevernot, Repair Rebels, skinmade and Edurino pitched for victory.

Munich-based sustainability startup and SCE alumni Relevo secures a strategic investment from Jokey Group, a manufacturer of sustainable reusable packaging. With this, they plan to expand their market position for sustainable reusable solutions in Germany and offer high-quality, durable reusable packaging to catering businesses.

Together with OTH Regensburg and TH Nuremberg, HM has applied for doctoral centers that make it possible to do a doctorate directly at a university of applied sciences. Two of these new doctoral centers, approved by the Ministry of Science, will be located at the Munich site in the future.

Munich-based tech company and SCE alumni PointTwelve has won the Munich Startup Special Prize at the startup festival Bits & Pretzels. This €2,500 prize recognizes the best Munich startup in the pitch competition at the event.

Entrepreneurs and people interested in setting up a business take note! The Strascheg Award 2023, with prize money totalling € 30,000, is entering the hot phase.
