The Social-X-Factor 2022 on the theme "SUSTAINABLE YOU" will conclude on 27.07. at the finale with the presentation of all developed social innovations. Starting at 6 pm you will experience the innovative ideas developed by 100+ students from 7 faculties, supported by 12 lecturers in 1 week, with the 1 goal - to make our everyday life more sustainable, resource-saving and livable. Come by and vote - Family & Friends and those interested in social innovation are invited. The guests themselves determine the winners of the competition by awarding their "Impacts".

We are happy with the whole team of Traindoo, which we have already accompanied for almost a year on their successful way, to receive the EXIST-Gründerstipendium. The team consisting of founders Jonas Flach, Manuel Mandl and Fabian Flach went through batch #6 of the SCE Start-up Certificate Accelerator, reached 2nd place in the category "Best Business Idea from Science and Practice" at the Strascheg Award 2021 and recently moved into their own office at the Start-up Incubator of the SCE via the EXIST Founder Grant.

"Real Time Innovation" is an innovation approach that illuminates implicit knowledge and success patterns for innovation processes in the social and entrepreneurial environment and makes them usable through a set of cards and a canvas. Today we present the next card: "Ready for change". Each card represents a success pattern for one dimension in the innovation process. More info here.

We are proud to announce that Start for Future (SFF) won the category "Triple Helix Collaboration of the Year" at the Triple E Awards. This is a testimonial to the work, determination and passion within the Start for Future programme and consortium.

Light + Building awards Neozoon with Optisolis technology: The portable light of the SCE Start-up Alumni integrates the Optisolis full-spectrum LED for light similar to daylight: This year, Neozoon powered by Optisolis wins the Light + Building Design Plus Award in the “Exhibitors” category. Neozoon designed the mobile light according to the cradle-to-cradle principle and integrated NICHIA's Optisolis full-spectrum LEDs as the light source. The combination of design, technical excellence and sustainability convinced the jury of the Design Plus Awards, which will be presented at this year's Light + Building.

In May 2022, over 60 participants from the international partner universities were able to experience the start-up ecosystem of the Munich Metropolitan Region for 5 days as part of an Incoming Week. The goal was to personally meet the most important start-up actors of the Quadruple Helix in Munich, to exchange ideas and get a direct picture of the ecosystem on site and to build a useful network to relevant stakeholders for them.

Social entrepreneurship, generating impact - terms that you hear all the time, but are not necessarily tangible. That's why we invited two experts from politics and education who can tell us a lot from a professional point of view: Julia Post, Munich city councilor and honorary board member of the Social Entrepreneurship Network Germany (SEND) and Carola Vogel, head of the qualification department of the Social Entrepreneurship Academy (SEA). Together we will get to the bottom of the questions: What distinguishes social entrepreneurship from entrepreneurship? Where are the challenges, and what can politics do in concrete terms? Listen now!
